TUESDAYS

Heavy Hitter’s Club
In this maximized power, hitting session hitters will learn the logistics of what it is to swing with fluency and strength by developing raw, innate power and high level body awareness. A sound swing is the building block of improving one’s overall success at the plate, and it starts with repetition. Being able to replicate the swing, with the assurance of proper mechanics, will propel the hitter into facets of the game they have not yet reached. The durability and mental prowess will be tested for those with the desire to become better athletes. Training is one night a week, Tuesdays from 5-6 pm. Ages 11 and up.
Session 1 Dates: Sept- 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th Oct- 7th, 14th

Explosive Strength Training:
These training sessions are designed to work in conjunction with speed and agility training. This is not your ordinary strength training program. Training is one night a week, Tuesdays from 6-7 pm.

Academy Tip of the Week

How can we obtain maximum velocity when pitching? Creating torque has always been the answer. When leading with the front hip while keeping our head over the back leg will put us in the best position to create as much torque as possible at the finish of our throw. This will allow the pitcher to explode with linear, and horizontal motion with the legs and core, causing the arm to work as a whip. The torque will help the pitchers arm accelerate through the throw helping reach maximum velocity.
